Informácie

Biodiversity, the diversity of life on Earth, evolved over billions of years and formed the complex web of life which is our home on the planet. This is the living environment into which we, as humankind, evolved, that provides us with all our needs – from the air that we breath to the food that we eat. We are at a time of rapid global change, driving new and unforeseen challenges almost daily. Understanding our relationship with this complex web of life, the interactions among its components, the impact of global change, and its impact on humankind, is a scientific and societal priority. It is also a place where we as individuals can make a change.
